I have an older home with rickety windows and only wanted something to take the humidity out. This installed easily and has cooled my bedroom, living room and kitchen. I shut the other 2 bedrooms since they are not in use right now and have a fan in the entrance to my bedroom to get the air to the l/r and kitchen. This little thing is AMAZING. It not only gets out the humidity, but my house is cool. I had to turn it up to 77 since I don't like it really cold. I started it at 72 to cool initially and it did within 2 hours. Plus, it's Energy Star rated and doesn't get better than that. The cooling effect is really good. Cools up to 62F and has climate control. Itt is a life saver from the scorching heat outside. It was also very easy to install, I did not need the anyone's help to get it installed to my window. Also, to help better seal the areas around the edges, I would recommend getting a high density foam tape which costs about $5. I am really happy with this product and highly recommend it. |
